Our client, New York City s preeminent nonprofit, independent, local news organization is looking for an Executive Assistant to support their Executive Director in New York, NY. This is a highly visible position that requires a very proficient candidate with extensive experience providing executive support.

Our client, New York City s preeminent nonprofit, independent, local news organization is looking for an Executive Assistant to support their Executive Director in New York, NY. This is a highly visible position that requires a very proficient candidate with extensive experience providing executive support.
Responsibilities:
- Provide calendar management for the Executive Director (ED).
- Provide scheduling support to the Editor in Chief & Development Director.
- Act as a liaison & provide support to the Board of Directors.
- Arrange & handle all logistics for Board meetings & events.
- Complete a broad variety of admin tasks that facilitate the ED s ability to effectively lead the organization.
- Assist with special projects, designing & producing complex documents, reports, & presentations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the ED. Prioritize & determine appropriate course of action to reflect ED style & organization policy.
- Work closely with the ED to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments & responsibilities
- Coordinate Leadership Team meetings & assist with events as needed.
- Work with the Leadership Team to coordinate the ED s outreach activities.
Qualifications:
- Strong ability to execute work with a diversity, equity, and inclusion lens.
- Significant executive support experience.
- Nonprofit board experience is an advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative attitude & ability to deconflict competing demands
- High degree of professionalism
- Knowledge of New York City
