Our client, New York City s preeminent nonprofit, independent, local news organization is looking for an Executive Assistant to support their Executive Director in New York, NY. This is a highly visible position that requires a very proficient candidate with extensive experience providing executive support.

  • Provide calendar management for the Executive Director (ED).
  • Provide scheduling support to the Editor in Chief & Development Director.
  • Act as a liaison & provide support to the Board of Directors. 
  • Arrange & handle all logistics for Board meetings & events.
  • Complete a broad variety of admin tasks that facilitate the ED s ability to effectively lead the organization.
  • Assist with special projects, designing & producing complex documents, reports, & presentations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the ED. Prioritize & determine appropriate course of action to reflect ED style & organization policy.
  • Work closely with the ED to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments & responsibilities
  • Coordinate Leadership Team meetings & assist with events as needed.
  • Work with the Leadership Team to coordinate the ED s outreach activities.
  • Strong ability to execute work with a diversity, equity, and inclusion lens.
  • Significant executive support experience.
  • Nonprofit board experience is an advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative attitude & ability to deconflict competing demands
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Knowledge of New York City
