HR Payroll Specialist

The right person for this job will be a hands-on strategic partner with excellent interpersonal skills and outstanding organizational skills.
Key responsibilities will include:
Process multi-state payroll and liaise with senior management at HQ.
Compile all related payroll data including adjustments, commission, bonuses, taxes and insurance.
Execute all PTO and new hire and termination payouts, leave of absence adjustments, sick time balance etc
Ensure accuracy and set up of employee data for new hires.
Act as point of contact and internal customer service for all payroll inquiries, questions or problem resolution
Ability to navigate and work efficiently within general payroll practices which effect Federal & State Wage and Hour laws.
Review and ensure accuracy of approved time sheets.
Key administrator of payroll time tracking system
Prepare and run a variety management reports including: Headcount, PTO, incentive bonus, retention and other HR related ad hoc reports
Accurately process all required payroll garnishments
Maintain and update employee records in centralized system
Adhere to all government, corporate and SOX compliance procedures and required audits
Timely submission of disability & unemployment claims as well as employment verifications

Requires 2+ years of high volume payroll experience and a working knowledge of large platform payroll systems such as ADP, PAYCHEX, ULTIPRO or ERP based systems. Bachelor' s degree a PLUS!
